Easter gourmet hampers - The Hamilton Hamper

Meet the Makers: Glenelg Fine Confectionery

Meet the makers who are part of the curate collection at The Hamilton Hamper

Traditional, irresistible handmade chocolates are hard to go past! Easter is a very exciting time of the year for The Hamilton Hamper as we can indulge even more in a few chocolate treats from Glenelg Fine Confectionary.

The makers of the beautifully smooth and tasty chocolate of Glenelg Fine Confectionary are the Kolberg family.  In 1967, Manfred and Erika Kolberg arrived in Australia from Bavaria, Germary.  Manfred studied as an apprentice and learnt the great German traditions of chocolate making from Brandt Chocolates in Germany.

After arriving in Australia, Manfred worked for MacRobertsons chocolates and other reputable chocolate manufactures in Melbourne.  Then the Kolberg's were lured to the country lifestyle and move to Coleraine.

Coleraine, with a population of 1,300 people, is about one hours drive from the Victorian/South Australian border on the Glenelg Highway, . This saw the start of their dream of making their own traditional chocolates become a realty.  The Kolberg's established Glenelg Fine Confectionary in 1988.  They have been making exclusive German truffles and creams for wineries, lavender farms and speciality stores since.

The Hamilton Hamper looks forward to the arrival of chocolates from Glenelg Fine Confectionary.

If you are in the area be sure to visit Glenelg Fine Chocolates where you can immerse yourself in the rich aroma of German-style continental chocolates. I must say Erika's truffles and creams are not only meticulously handmade but are also produced using no artificial ingredients.

Each year we have Glenelg Fine Chocolates in stock and become particularly excited about the Easter range.  We have them available in hampers and sell individually.

If these look your the solution for your Easter treats you will find them available in-store and online.
